The Disabled Access Credit

Hiring an ASL interpreter is an investment in accessibility, and small businesses may not have to carry the cost alone. The Disabled Access Credit, found in Section 44 of the Internal Revenue Code, provides tax relief for small businesses that invest in accessibility improvements. The credit covers physical modifications such as ramps and wider doorways, and it extends to language access services, including ASL interpreters.
